What to Expect in the Role: Efficiently optimize the growing and care of all grass varieties with all available tools. Efficiently harvest sod to ensure timely deliveries with minimal waste. Maintain all equipment in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Maintain an optimum employee staff to perform all aspects of farming operation through hiring, training, and motivation. Report all pertinent information to the Regional Manager and Corporate Office. Keep up to date records and reports for company use. Review and approve all purchases; process all invoices through appropriate channels to accounts payable in corporate office. Be sure weekly safety training is performed to minimize work related accidents. What We Will Be Needing From You: Bilingual English/ Spanish preferred but not required. Must have basic mathematical skills including working with units of measure. Must be able to make sound judgments with minimal supervision. Must be able to make calculated decisions that are most efficient, effective, and economically feasible. Not Just Cowboys…but we have those too!
