D365/Power Platform Senior Engineer

Position Summary

On behalf of a client, we are seeking a creative and client-focused Solution Engineer to join a growing Microsoft-focused team, based in Vermont, Denver, or Charlotte. This role plays a key part in bridging client needs with technology solutions, acting as the technical link between business challenges and scalable Microsoft-based architectures. The successful candidate will design and demonstrate solutions that deliver measurable business value and support long-term client relationships. The role offers flexibility for client engagement and occasional travel.

Role and Responsibilities

* Collaborate with sales and account management teams to lead technical discovery sessions, gathering and documenting client business requirements
* Translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions using Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure, and the Power Platform
* Design and present solution architectures, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts that clearly articulate business value
* Develop technical responses for proposals, RFPs, and Statements of Work, ensuring accuracy and feasibility
* Support clients throughout implementation as a technical advisor to ensure successful deployment and value realisation
* Create and maintain detailed solution architecture documentation for seamless handover to delivery and support teams
* Support client adoption and change management initiatives to maximise the impact of technology investments

Qualifications and Education

* 10+ years’ experience as a Microsoft Solutions Engineer or in a similar solution architecture role
* Hands-on expertise in at least two of the following: Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate)
* Proven experience in solution design and architecture across Microsoft technologies
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
* Experience building demonstrations and proof-of-concept solutions to showcase capability
* Strong problem-solving, organisation, and prioritisation skills; able to work independently with high autonomy
* Microsoft certifications highly desirable, including areas such as Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure, and Security, Compliance, and Identity (fundamentals and associate-level certifications)
