Project Technician - Roofing and Siding

Job Description

An established General Contractor is looking for a Project Manager Assistant / Project Technician to assist with daily jobsite management and small roofing and siding repairs. This is a full time, W2 position with benefits available after 60 days. It is a full time role, not seasonal.

Requirements:

Valid Drivers License
Experience in carpentry, roofing, and siding installation
Ability to safely use ladders and climb roofs. We will provide Cougar Paws, access to a Goat, and pitch hoppers.
Must have your own nail gun, hand tools, and other power tools needed to do shingle and siding repairs
Experience disconnecting and reconnecting light fixtures and power attic fans

Responsibilities:

Handle small warranty repairs (shingle blow offs, siding dislodged, swapping a damaged vent)
Manage repairs perfomed by subcontractors to make sure they are completed correctly and the customer is satisfied
Work with the Lead Project Manager and Field Supervisors to inspect leaks and diagnose the source to create a corrective plan.
Assist Project Managers with final walkthroughs and quality control inspections. Perform touch up caulk work, swap shingles with shiners, or create punchlists for subcontractors. Get letters of completion at the end of the project.
Perform emergency mitigation services after severe storms
Assist the Field Supervisors with sourcing products and performing comparison to existing products
When required, assist our carpenter with projects that require 2 people.
Assure power fans are connected properly when installed.
Other duties may present. We are looking for a team player who is ready to get on the ground and get to work. We are a fast paced, collaborative organization and in our busy season it is all hands on deck. If you have ever said "that's not my job", this is not the place for you.

Company Vehicle and Gas Card are provided after training

This is a 6 day a week job April through November.

Salary is an estimate, we are willing to discuss additional compensation after a 90 day probationary period
