Join a dynamic manufacturing company specializing in panels and switchgears. We are seeking skilled welders and fabricators to contribute to the welding and fitting of carbon steel and stainless steel structural components for building electrical control panel boxes. This role primarily involves MIG welding with occasional Stick welding, alongside fitting and fabricating parts. You will be responsible for reading blueprints, taking measurements, and cutting materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and occasional Stick welding on carbon steel and stainless steel components.
• Fit and fabricate parts for electrical control panel boxes.
• Read and interpret welding blueprints and schematics.
• Take accurate measurements and cut materials as required.
• Ensure high-quality welding and fitting to meet project specifications.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in welding or fitting.
• Proficiency in MIG and Stick welding techniques.
• Ability to read welding blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with carbon steel and stainless steel materials.

Work Environment

Our medium-sized facility spans 100,000 square feet and is expanding. Although the shop is not air-conditioned, there are numerous fans to circulate air, ensuring a comfortable workspace. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, a work shirt, and safety glasses. Day shift operates from Monday to Saturday, 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, with typical shifts exceeding 10 hours. Night shifts are available for candidates who prefer them, running from Monday to Saturday, 3:00 pm to 3:00 am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Deer Park, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
