Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Pacific International has been exclusively retained by a specialty chemical manufacturer in their search for an EHS Manager The company is seeking a hands-on leader to oversee all Environment, Health and Safety programs at one of their top revenue-producing facilities. The site has a history of strong performance, and they are looking for a leader that can standardize processes and sustain a strong safety culture. Responsibilities Practices and re-enforces all site safety policies, guidelines and procedures Provides daily guidance and direction in EHS programs to all employees, contractors and supervisors Manages key environmental programs, recordkeeping, reporting, and permitting Participates in emergency response drills and critiques Supports Corporate EHS initiatives Conducts regular walk-through of all work areas to identify hazards, evaluate controls, recommend improvements, communicate with associates, and record appropriately Determines safety best practices and trains individuals and teams Partners cross-functionally to accomplish all regulatory training and related activities to employees and contractors Leads and tracks incident investigations to identify root causes and drives corrective action efforts to prevent reoccurrence Maintains and updates Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for all safe work practices and equipment Manages required reporting relative to local, state, and federal regulatory agencies Interfaces directly with outside regulatory agencies and works with Site Director and Corporate EHS to respond to regulatory inquiries Manages the Workers Compensation process with the appropriate vendor to achieve proper communication, management of claims, and quality care Prepare and manage the EHS budget Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree an engineering, science, or related discipline 5+ years of experience in EHS 2-3+ years of experience in a leadership position / experience owning EHS functions About Pacific International: Pacific International, a globally recognized retained executive search firm, is dedicated to empowering Fortune 500, FTSE 100, and high-growth enterprises in building exceptional C-suite, senior-level, and strategic leadership teams while championing diversity and inclusion.
