A growing, mission-driven not-for-profit regional health system in east-central Illinois is seeking a BC/BE Hospice & Palliative Care Physician to establish and lead a new service line within a well-supported, community-based hospital. Position Highlights Unique opportunity to build and lead a new hospice and palliative care service line from the ground up Hospital-based role within a 165-bed community hospital serving a 10-county regional area Strong interdisciplinary collaboration with hospitalists, oncology, critical care, and primary care teams Opportunity to develop inpatient consult services, outpatient palliative clinic, and hospice program integration Supported by experienced nursing, social work, and care coordination teams Significant autonomy in designing workflows, clinical models, and service line structure High demand for palliative and hospice services within a growing regional referral network Collaborative, patient-centered culture with strong emphasis on quality, communication, and continuity of care Part of a stable, expanding health system with a large medical staff and strong physician engagement Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary with productivity potential Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available Full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage Retirement plan with employer contribution CME allowance and dedicated CME time Paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage Generous PTO Community Living here means enjoying a relaxed, friendly Midwestern lifestyle with the convenience of a regional hub, where housing is affordable, commutes are short, and everyday life feels easy.
