Essential Duties and Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Director or designee, the non-credit lecturer is accountable for the effective performance in these essential duties: Key responsibilities include: Teaching courses within the assigned discipline area in accordance with institutional standards Evaluating and assessing student learning outcomes Providing student support, mentoring, and academic advising Developing curriculum and periodically reviewing and updating instructional materials Minimum Qualifications Successful Candidate must have or must possess: Current Industry Certification in the field you are applying to Related work experience in the field you are applying to Ability to present curriculum in a classroom or lab environment For Pharmacy Technician: Doctorate in Pharmacy required Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) Additional qualifications may be requested, as relevant to the academic department. For CNA applicants: RN/LPN degree required. (RN preferred) (Primary Training Instructor) The training of nurse’s aides must be performed by or under the general supervision of a registered nurse who possesses a minimum of two years of nursing experience, at least one year of which must be in a chronic and convalescent nursing home or rest home with nursing supervision. Instructors must have completed a course in teaching adults or supervising nurses’ aides. Licensed practical nurses, under the supervision of the nurse’s aide primary training instructor, may serve as trainers in the nurse’s aide training program provided the licensed practical nurse has two years of experience in caring for the elderly or chronically ill of any age. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching in workforce development, adult education, continuing education, or non-credit training programs, particularly in short-term certificate or credential-aligned programs. Experience designing or delivering customized training programs (onsite, online, or hybrid). Knowledge of the current industry trends and workforce needs Two (2) or more years of practical experience in the field for which you are applying with an understanding of industry credentialing or licensure requirements. For CNA applicants additional preferred qualifications are listed below: Public school teaching certification.
