Job Title Registered Respiratory Therapist – Travel – Gastonia, North Carolina Position Details Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week (12‑hour night shifts) Employment type: Travel Responsibilities Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function and report malfunctions. Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines. Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize patient care. Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support. Physical & Occupational Requirements Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds easily, and may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Must have adequate vision including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Qualifications At least 1 year of recent acute care experience. BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP may be required in some areas. Required certifications include BLS, NBRC, RRT, CRT; 2 years of experience.
