We have a challenging and exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer I with 3D modeling experience and a strong attention to detail. This position is 100% onsite in Pleasant Prairie, WI, and visa sponsorship is not available. Primary Purpose The Mechanical Engineer I is responsible for evaluating product design concepts, development of mechanical concepts, and generating final mechanical drawings for products and/or manufacturing tooling. This position supports the activities of both engineering and some production / manufacturing. Job Description Analyze, design, develop, and maintain products; assist in commercialization. Create 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks. Detail drawings for manufacturing and assembly of products. Build prototypes, products, and systems for testing; set up and run laboratory simulations. Help evaluate engineering approaches and risks. Conduct and/or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, codes, and other artifacts. Conduct tests, document results, and develop client presentations. Other tasks assigned by management. Qualifications Required: A demonstrated high level of mechanical intuition. Hands on experience with machining, metal fabrication, and plastics. Strong effective communicator both verbal and written. Ability to work in a fast pace environment of constant change. Self-directed individual who works well within a team environment. Preferred: Proficient with SolidWorks 3D modeling and detailing. Previous experience in the Outdoor Power Equipment or Power Tools industry is a plus. Experience working in a multi-channel retail business/industry. 0 to 5 years in a product design or manufacturing technical role.
