This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while still contributing to the collaborative atmosphere of our outpatient office in Salinas, California. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments to identify the mental health needs and recovery goals of individuals facing substance use challenges.

• Design, implement, and regularly evaluate personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s unique needs.

• Lead individual counseling sessions employing techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to assist clients in addressing core issues relating to substance use.

• Facilitate supportive group therapy sessions, promoting peer connection and shared experiences among participants, thereby enhancing the recovery process.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and addiction specialists, to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care and recovery support.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during substance-related emergencies, ensuring client safety and well-being.

• Educate clients and their families on addiction, effective recovery strategies, and available community resources to foster informed decision-making.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve primarily consist of individuals who are struggling with various levels of substance use disorders, ranging from those in early recovery to those facing relapse challenges. Moreover, you will engage with families who play a crucial role in the recovery journey, providing them with educational resources and emotional support to enhance their involvement in treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field from an accredited academic institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT within the state of California is essential.

• Strong theoretical knowledge and practical insight into substance use disorders and recovery-oriented practices is vital.

• Demonstrated experience delivering individual and group therapy within addiction treatment environments is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
