Junior Full Stack Java Developer

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Junior Full Stack Java Developer to join their development team in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of experience building web applications using Java, Python, and modern front-end technologies. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full software development lifecycle while collaborating with senior developers, architects, and business stakeholders. Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications
- Build backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Python
- Develop responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following coding standards
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues
- Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies
- Work closely with QA, DevOps, business analysts, and product owners
- Create technical documentation and support application deployments
- Continuously learn new technologies and best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years of software development experience
- Strong programming skills in Java
- Experience developing applications with Python
- Experience with Spring Boot
- Experience building REST APIs
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server)
- Familiarity with Git and version control
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with Hibernate/JPA
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Knowledge of microservices architecture
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
- Experience writing automated unit tests using JUnit or PyTest
- Experience with cloud-native applications
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development
- Understanding of security best practices (OAuth, JWT, API security)
- Internship or project experience developing enterprise applications
- 1-3 years of full-stack development experience
- Strong Java development skills with hands-on Python experience
- Comfortable working on both front-end and back-end development
- Eager to learn from senior engineers and contribute to enterprise applications
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
