Sr Account & Business Development Manager

Resorts World Las Vegas

Summary Statement:This role is responsible for identifying, soliciting, qualifying, targeting, and converting new Group/Meetings & Events business opportunities, with the majority of the business being secured for future years.The Senior Account Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and contracting large Group and Convention programs across all brands on the Resorts World campus in Las Vegas. This position will be expected to cultivate new relationships and manage existing property relationships with current and prospective customers. The Manager will foster internal relationships throughout the property to ensure and maintain open communication. This role will support the achievement of the company’s financial goals, partner with businesses that share similar values, and deliver experiences that build long-term brand loyalty.Primary Job Duties: Includes but is not limited to:This individual will partner with Sales Leadership to understand multi-year financial and operational objectives and to build a strategic prospecting plan. Activities will include, but are not limited to:Developing and cultivating key third-party relationships with a strong propensity to place business within our identified target segments and event typesInitiate and schedule recurring educational sessions with key account managersCurating customized FAM/Site Visit experiences for new prospects to accelerate conversion and strengthen buyer confidenceParticipating in select, high-value out-of-market events to build new relationships and deepen existing onesMaintaining engagement with the preferred customer base through structured touchpoints (social media engagement, check-ins, account reviews, and ongoing follow-up)Generating new, organic leads independently as a Resorts World representative, while also supporting the broader Sales Team’s pipeline development and account growthMeet and exceed revenue quotas and goals established by LeadershipProactively solicit new customers that meet the business profile through prospecting skills to drive incremental revenues and secure future agreementsUnderstand contract clauses and negotiate proper business terms to drive property revenues and minimize riskUtilize negotiation skills to position both Parties in a fair and mutually beneficial commitmentPartner with internal stakeholders and other departments outside of Sales Department to support customer needs and drive positive results for the group, increasing loyaltyUse personal device/cellular phone for job-related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.Perform other job-related duties as requestedQualifications: Includes but is not limited to:At least seven (7) years of previous Hotel/Resort Convention Sales experienceAt least five (5) years of previous management/leadership within the Hospitality fieldTrack record of strong selling and closing skillsStrong Customer Relations & Communication skillsCritical thinking skills, solution orientedAbility to successfully mentor other team members.Polished appearance and demeanor.Excellent customer service skills.Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.Preferred:Bachelor’s degree preferred.Working knowledge of Delphi and Opera.Previous experience working in a large group business complex, luxury resortPrevious experience in a Business Development RoleKnowledge of property operationsMinimum Education and Experience:At 21 years of ageHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum five years of experience in hotel or convention salesMinimum three years of previous management/leadership in the hospitality industryCertificates, Licenses, Regulations:Proof of eligibility to work in the United StatesObtain all required Licenses & CertificationsPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those a team member must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
