Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Cypress, Texas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: OR - Operating Room\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/28/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 8 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 5x8hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 28, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 2\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN - Operating Room with a TX or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent OR experience for a 13-week assignment.Details\n \n Surgery unit with 9 OR suites plus a dedicated cysto room\n Unit staffed by roughly 50 team members with a free charge RN and float teams on day shift\n Patient ratio of 1:1\n Uses Meditech EMR\n Procedures include ortho (totals and sports med), spine, neuro, vascular, general surgery, bariatrics, robotics, and urology\n Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM\n One weekday call shift required per week\n No floating required\n Requirements\n \n Active TX or compact RN license required\n BLS certification required\n Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience required\n General and ortho surgical experience required\n CV and DaVinci robotic experience preferred\n US SSN and DOB required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)\n One professional reference required\n No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months\n Additional Information\n \n Assist with a wide range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties including ortho, spine, neuro, vascular, general, bariatric, robotic, and urology cases\n Royal blue scrubs required\n Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered\n First-time travelers may be considered\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-756638.
