Key Qualifications:

• Hold an Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Deaf & Hard of Hearing or a valid California Special Education Credential authorizing teaching of deaf and hard of hearing students
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Experience or a strong interest in working with children and adolescents in school settings
• Commitment to onsite instruction (virtual or hybrid arrangements are not available)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
• Provide targeted instruction utilizing specialized strategies and materials for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
• Collaborate with general and special education staff, related service providers, and families to promote student success
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
• Deliver instruction for 37.5 hours each week throughout the school year, beginning August 13th and concluding June 11th
