Orbital Welding Equipment Operator (CNC-Controlled)

Job Description

Step into a day running precision orbital welding systems

At 8:00 AM, you power up your station in Marietta and review engineering drawings for the first job. You load tubing and piping, set the orbital welding head, and enter parameters to meet strict procedures and quality targets. Throughout the day, you monitor the run, verify dimensions with calipers and micrometers, and document results to ensure every weld meets spec and safety standards.

Compensation & Schedule

Pay: $23- $26/hour
Location: Marietta
Schedule: 1st Shift, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday

What you’ll do

Set up, operate, and maintain orbital welding equipment for tubing, piping, and related components.
Follow engineering drawings, welding procedures, and safety protocols to achieve consistent, high‑quality welds.
Use basic inspection tools to confirm dimensions and finish meet quality requirements.

Good to know

No welding experience needed—training provided on the orbital system.
Candidates with machine operator experience that required programming (CNC, Laser, etc.) would have a better understanding of this machine.

What you bring

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding procedures.
Familiarity with stainless‑steel tubing/piping and basic welding concepts.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
Mechanical aptitude and confidence using inspection tools.
Experience with calipers, micrometers, and reading a tape measure.
Preferred: Welding certifications or experience in high‑purity or regulated environments.
