Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Must-Have: OB experience Description: General Comments Unit Information: Number of Beds: 9 LDR; 8 PP/GYN; 2 OR suites; 23 wellborn nursery Number of Staff: 50+ Type of Staff: - Day Shift Director - Manager - Couplet nurses - Birth response nurse - Labor and Delivery nurses - Scrub Tech - Night Shift Clinical coordinator or charge nurse - Birth response - couplet - Labor and Delivery nurses - Scrub Tech Patient Ratios: 3 couplets to 1 nurse; Labor and Delivery = 1:1 active labor/Pitocin/epidural Type of Equipment: Corometrics EMR Centricity Perinatal & Meditech Preferred or Nice to Have: Cesarean section circulator 1st assist Scrub List of Typical Procedures Performed: Labor & Delivery Cesarean sections Post-partum & newborn care OBED triage Inductions Midwives Best Personality Fit: Energetic and self-directed Floating Area(s): Within the unit only Dress Code: Scrubs provided Weekends and On Call: 4 weekend shifts every 4-week schedule; Days are Saturday and Sunday; Nights are Friday and Saturday; No call requirement for travel staff, although there may be opportunities for extra shifts.
