To continue shaping the future of communications we apply the best minds to the challenges our customers will continually face.We are currently seeking a Facilities Manager to join our facility located in Somerset, NJ.The Facilities Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of a multi-building facility. This role oversees facilities maintenance and infrastructure, leads a team of skilled technicians, and manages facility projects, vendors, and improvements.Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Lead and develop facilities and maintenance personnel.Oversee building, grounds, equipment, and infrastructure maintenance, including preventative and corrective maintenance.Plan and manage facility improvement and capital projects, including budgets, schedules, contractors, and vendors.Maintain facility systems, documentation, procedures, and maintenance programs.Monitor critical infrastructure and identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and sustainability.Support building management, security, and environmental monitoring systems.Communicate facility needs, priorities, risks, and project status to site leadership.Ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements, codes, and standards.Maintain discretion with confidential and proprietary informationAdhere strictly to company safety policies, procedures, and standards of conductPerform other related duties as assignedKey qualifications include:Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, facilities, maintenance, or a related technical field preferred.Experience with mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and/or industrial facility systems; experience with process gases or chemicals is a plus.Experience managing maintenance programs and facility projects.Demonstrated ability to lead and develop skilled trades or maintenance personnel.Strong project management, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to develop work instructions, specifications, and technical documentation.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.CAD experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) desirableSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyWorking at Lightera means having the opportunity to realize ideas, experience innovation and discover new solutions for the future.
