As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with patients of all ages to help them improve their speech, language, and overall communication abilities.Duties:Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine speech and language disordersDevelop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goalsProvide therapy sessions to improve speech articulation, fluency, voice quality, and language skillsAssist patients in developing alternative communication methods, such as sign language or augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devicesCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomesEducate patients and their families on speech therapy techniques and strategies for continued progress at homeMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient recordsExperience:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication DisordersValid state license or certification as a Speech-Language PathologistPrevious experience working with patients with communication disorders is preferredKnowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech and swallowing functionFamiliarity with various speech therapy techniques and interventionsStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesSkills:Physiology knowledgePatient carePatient assessmentMedical terminologySpeech therapyCritical careCase managementHospital experienceAnatomy knowledgeAcute care expertiseJoin our team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with communication disorders.
