Job Title: Food Safety / Quality Control Manager

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Ensure all incoming shipments are inspected and meet quality standards.

• Conduct regular inspections of inventory to ensure quality is maintained.

• Investigate and resolve any quality-related issues that arise.

• Collaborate with other teams to develop and implement quality control procedures.

• Keep accurate records of quality control activities and report findings to management.

• Train and educate warehouse staff on quality control procedures and stay updated with industry trends.

• Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.

• Lead the internal audit process in the warehouse.

• Help improve allergen training and processes.

• Perform weekly and monthly inspections of temperature probes and complete calibrations.

• Act as the point person alongside management for customer, regulatory, and external auditing processes.

• Manage document control changes.

• Audit processes to ensure procedures are being followed.

Essential Skills

• Experience in food safety.

• Proficiency in quality assurance and quality control.

• Experience in auditing and inspection.

• Knowledge of HACCP, OSHA, FDA, USDA regulations.

• Experience in food quality inspection.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Quality assurance experience within a foods environment.

• Preferably with experience in cold storage distribution.

• Experience in shipping.

• Experience in auditing and documentation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Liberty, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
