Position Title: Commercial HVAC Installation Technician

Build your commercial HVAC expertise on complex, high-impact projects where the work goes far beyond routine service calls. We are seeking a Commercial HVAC Installation Technician to perform installation, retrofit, and energy-efficiency work on commercial HVAC systems throughout Northern California. This field-based role works with equipment ranging from packaged units and chillers to cooling towers, compressors, condensers, evaporators, VFDs, and HVAC controls. Most projects are completed during the day with technicians returning home each night.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HVAC technician who understands the equipment, takes pride in quality work, and can operate professionally at customer sites. Candidates with strong residential HVAC backgrounds will also be considered if they have solid fundamentals and are ready to transition into commercial work.

Salary Range: $50 - $70 / hour DOE


Responsibilities

• Install, retrofit, and upgrade commercial HVAC equipment and energy-efficiency systems
• Work with packaged units, chillers, cooling towers, compressors, condensers, evaporators, VFDs, and related HVAC components
• Install and work with HVAC controls and software that support equipment performance and energy efficiency
• Perform field work at commercial buildings, refrigerated warehouses, and food-processing facilities
• Install ductwork fabricated by outside metal fabricators when required for projects
• Troubleshoot installation and retrofit challenges while maintaining high standards for workmanship and safety
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members while remaining focused on completing work efficiently

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on HVAC installation experience
• Commercial HVAC experience strongly preferred, though strong residential technicians who are ready to learn commercial systems will be considered
• Demonstrated technical competence with HVAC installation, equipment, and field work
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision based on experience level
• Must own professional HVAC tools
• Valid driver's license and ability to complete required driver's license verification
• Willingness to travel to commercial project sites throughout the Northern California service territory
