Position Summary

Juice It Up! Herriman is seeking a friendly, energetic, dependable, and self-motivated Assistant Manager for Food Truck Operations . This is a full-time leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operation, transportation, scheduling, promotion, stocking, cleanliness, and care of the Juice It Up! food truck and trailer.

The Assistant Manager will actively develop opportunities for the food truck at community events, schools, youth sports activities, corporate gatherings, private events, catering engagements, food truck rallies, and sponsorship activities. This individual will coordinate all food truck events and staffing with the General Manager and help ensure that each event is safe, properly staffed, well organized, profitable, and consistent with Juice It Up! standards.

When not operating or promoting the food truck, the Assistant Manager will work as an active member of the Juice It Up! Herriman store team. Store responsibilities may include preparing smoothies, raw juices, açaí bowls, and other menu items; serving guests; operating the point-of-sale system; maintaining a clean and organized restaurant; and assisting with shift leadership responsibilities.

This position may develop into expanded Shift Leader or Assistant General Manager responsibilities based on performance and business needs.

Position Purpose

The Assistant Manager for Food Truck Operations is responsible for helping make the Juice It Up! food truck a visible, active, and successful part of the local community. This position combines mobile food-service operations, community outreach, event coordination, sales, marketing, team leadership, transportation, and in-store guest service. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the General Manager to identify new business opportunities, maintain a dependable event schedule, coordinate staffing, protect company equipment, and deliver an excellent Juice It Up! experience at every location.

Primary Food Truck Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Juice It Up! food truck and trailer.

  • Safely transport, position, connect, operate, and secure the food truck and trailer at approved locations.

  • Maintain the truck, trailer, equipment, and related supplies in a clean, safe, organized, and professional condition.

  • Complete required pre-trip, post-trip, opening, closing, cleaning, stocking, and safety checklists.

  • Coordinate the food truck calendar with the General Manager, including community events, food truck rallies, catering engagements, school activities, youth sports events, corporate events, sponsorships, and private gatherings.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with schools, businesses, sports organizations, municipalities, nonprofit organizations, event organizers, and community groups.

  • Actively market and promote the availability of the Juice It Up! food truck to prospective customers and event partners.

  • Follow up with prospective clients, provide approved information, assist with event planning, and help secure recurring and one-time bookings.

  • Coordinate participation with local food truck leagues, event networks, and community organizers.

  • Maintain accurate information regarding scheduled events, client contacts, staffing needs, expected attendance, sales results, and follow-up activities.

  • Coordinate food truck staffing with the General Manager and communicate schedules and expectations to assigned Team Members.

  • Ensure the food truck is properly stocked with ingredients, serving supplies, cleaning materials, marketing materials, and other required items before each event.

  • Monitor food truck inventory, minimize waste, and communicate replenishment needs to the General Manager.

  • Ensure that the truck and trailer comply with applicable food-safety, sanitation, licensing, registration, insurance, vehicle, and operating requirements.

  • Immediately report accidents, damage, safety concerns, mechanical problems, equipment issues, or compliance concerns to the General Manager.

  • Represent Juice It Up! professionally while driving, operating, parking, or displaying the truck and trailer in the community.

  • Help identify appropriate high-visibility locations and community opportunities when the food truck is not committed to a scheduled event.

  • Assist in reviewing event performance, including sales, labor, food costs, customer feedback, and opportunities for future bookings.

Store and Guest-Service Responsibilities

When assigned to the Herriman store or supporting a food truck event, the Assistant Manager will also:

  • Prepare smoothies, raw juices, açaí bowls, and other food and beverage items according to Juice It Up! recipes, portion standards, and quality expectations.

  • Greet guests warmly and help create a welcoming, upbeat, and health-focused experience.

  • Take guest orders accurately using the point-of-sale system and confirm order details before production.

  • Accurately process cash, credit card, gift card, coupon, and loyalty-program transactions.

  • Answer guest questions about smoothies, juices, bowls, boosts, ingredients, and available product options.

  • Prepare ingredients, wash and portion produce, restock supplies, and keep production areas ready for busy periods.

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the food truck, trailer, and store, including counters, equipment, blenders, juicers, preparation areas, floors, tables, restrooms, windows, and exterior areas.

  • Keep cups, lids, straws, spoons, napkins, merchandise, snacks, and other guest supplies stocked and organized.

  • Follow all food-safety, health, sanitation, and allergen procedures.

  • Work with urgency during peak periods while maintaining accuracy, product quality, and a positive attitude.

  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, cleaning checklists, dishwashing, equipment cleaning, inventory counts, and other operational duties.

  • Help lead assigned Team Members, provide clear direction, and support a respectful and team-oriented work environment.

  • Assist the General Manager with Team Member supervision and shift leadership responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Must meet all minimum age and eligibility requirements established by the company’s commercial vehicle insurance provider.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.

  • Must have prior experience safely driving a truck while towing, positioning, and backing a trailer.

  • Must be comfortable operating a truck and trailer in parking lots, event spaces, residential areas, and other approved locations.

  • Previous team-lead, shift-lead, supervisory, or management experience is required.

  • Must be dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently.

  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule based on event needs, including mornings, evenings, and Saturdays.

  • Must be able to communicate professionally with customers, event organizers, community partners, and Team Members.

  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities.

  • Must be willing to learn Juice It Up! recipes, preparation standards, point-of-sale procedures, food-safety requirements, and operating procedures.

  • Must be able to stand and remain active for extended periods during a shift.

  • Must be able to bend, reach, push, pull, and move throughout the workday.

  • Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

  • Must possess basic math, cash-handling, organizational, and recordkeeping skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating a food truck, food trailer, mobile retail operation, or catering business.

  • Experience in food service, quick-service restaurants, smoothies, beverages, or hospitality.

  • Experience with community outreach, event coordination, face-to-face sales, or local marketing.

  • Experience developing relationships with schools, businesses, sports organizations, municipalities, or nonprofit organizations.

  • Experience scheduling or supervising hourly Team Members.

  • Food-handler certification or willingness to obtain required certification.

  • Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
