Cost Analyst

JOB SUMMARY: Assist in the financial analysis and make recommendations for various divisions and business units. Maintain detailed financial reports and work with management to develop annual budgets. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete routine financial reports that summarize the performance of the division. Assist Cost Manager and division operating management in the development of annual budgets and latest estimates Research vendor payment issues and make recommendations for resolution. Complete month-end close duties, including journal entries in SAP and balance sheet account reconciliation Prepare worksheets and analyze a range of accounts to verify accuracy and identify business trends or problem areas. Assist in creating Marquee Event templates and track all expenses Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Microsoft Office Ability to Communicate Clearly Organization Skills Ability to Meet Deadlines Basic Forecasting Basic Budgeting Analytical Thinking Planning and Scheduling Accounting Research EDUCATION: High school degree or GED is required. Associate’s degree (AA) is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. EXPERIENCE: 1 years; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
