Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Telemetry

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30). Overtime may be required during holidays and weekends.

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit. Duties include managing patient conditions, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and monitor patients' health status.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy.
• Oversee patient care for those with diverse medical conditions including respiratory issues, surgical recovery, and chronic illnesses.
• Utilize telemetry to monitor heart rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Deliver education and support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers welcome.
• Current RN license required.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications are preferred.
• Prior experience in a charge nurse role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Epic charting system experience is required.
