RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• 2 years of nursing experience required with previous charge and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Patient ratio of 1:5 for days, nights, and weekends
• 8 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed per unit
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13 weeks
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• 12 hours of orientation required
• Required floating between departments, units, and facilities including ED for inpatient holds
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• Must maintain skills in cardiac monitoring, telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, central line care, PICC management, heparin protocols, cardiac drips, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, wound care, and isolation precautions
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with conditions including post-cardiac procedures, CVA, renal failure, and orthopedic cases
• Work with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Must have both Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact license at time of submission
• Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing
• Pre-start modules including Epic training, infusion pump training, and glucometer training required
