Safety Coordinator

responsibilities:

Oversee daily safety compliance for Our Client, conducting regular inspections to prevent slips, trips, and falls while ensuring strict adherence to OSHA, LOTO, and machine guarding protocols.
Document daily safety observations, maintain accurate logs, perform root-cause analysis for site incidents, and recommend corrective or preventive measures.
Assist in implementing annual H&S Action Plans (such as SMAT and Permit to Work) and coordinating specialized initiatives, including the Forklift Safety Program.
Facilitate monthly EH&S meetings, write and distribute safety program aids, and lead comprehensive H&S orientations for visitors, contractors, and site staff.
Partner with supervisors, managers, and hourly operators to resolve safety concerns, distribute instructional materials, and lead by example to champion safety.
