Respiratory Therapist

Role Overview The Respiratory Therapist performs a variety of respiratory therapy procedures tailored to patients with diverse needs and conditions. Key Responsibilities Demonstrate clinical competencies to deliver respiratory care effectively. Provide specialized care to adult, geriatric, neonatal, and pediatric populations. Collect and assess clinical data, review medical records, blood gases, and lab results. Interpret x-ray and radiology reports, discuss patient care with physicians, and make recommendations. Monitor patient responses to therapy, administer procedures promptly, and document all activities. Communicate pertinent information to the healthcare team and ensure equipment functions properly, troubleshooting as needed. Participate in clinical instruction of students and perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program (required). Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state (required). Registered Respiratory Therapist License (required). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire (required).
