Key Responsibilities\n

  • Manage a diverse caseload of clients, establishing and nurturing rapport while upholding the highest standards of professional ethics and boundaries.

  • Conduct regular client check-ins to discuss treatment progress, personal stability, and to set up upcoming appointments, including timely discharge when appropriate.

  • Develop comprehensive, person-centered treatment plans based on thorough client assessments, and continuously monitor and adjust these plans as necessary.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation, including progress notes and treatment updates, to ensure compliance with regulatory and clinical standards.

  • Perform intake assessments for new clients, ensuring a detailed understanding of their background and treatment needs.

  • Provide individual therapy sessions consistently each week, facilitating engagement and therapeutic techniques tailored for each client's unique situation.

  • Participate in regular individual supervision to foster professional growth and enhance therapeutic skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client population, including individuals facing psychiatric challenges, emotional distress, and those requiring substance use counseling. Qualifications\n

  • Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology or a related field.

  • Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York.
  • \n
  • Ability to fulfill internal credentialing requirements within relevant clinical settings.

  • A minimum of one year of experience treating psychiatric patients and/or individuals with substance use disorders.

  • Experience conducting assessments, diagnoses, and providing both individual and group therapy.

  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health record systems and basic keyboarding capabilities.
