This position is for Parker Hannifin’s Composite Sealing Systems Division, located in San Diego (Otay Mesa), California. The standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 10:30AM – 7PM; however, may be required work overtime based on business needs. General Description Responsible for maintenance activity through the implementation of a preventative maintenance program and an ongoing maintenance repair program for the facility. Location OTAY MESA, 7664 Panasonic Way, San Diego CA 92154 Essential Job Functions Maintenance of machinery and procurement of necessary materials. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control problems and determine method of repair or replacement. Inspect equipment to determine reasons for malfunction and take corrective action. Replace worn or broken parts. Disassemble, troubleshoot, clean/repair mechanical unit parts. Work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, schematics and manufacturing specs. Perform functional tests of installed, rebuilt, or repaired machines/equipment. Perform safety inspections related to guarding. Support environmental and safety compliance per state and federal regulations. Test, maintain and evaluate equipment performance using instruments such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, pyrometers and pressure gauges. Check pumps, fans, valves and motors. Follows established safety and environmental policies, procedures and methods applicable to the work area. Performs other duties as necessary. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience: Minimum 3 years related maintenance experience. Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interests, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trades involved. Ability to work on a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of the situation or data requires thorough identification of factors and analysis of impact. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to read and understand bar graphs for department metrics. Ability to work and train from verbal and written instructions. Ability to speak, read, and write in English. Physical Demands Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Ability to use hands and fingers for detailed work over extended periods of time. Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule Pay Range: $23.25/hr to $35.5/hr. Participation in Annual Incentive Program.
