Role Description

Ironwood Family Practice is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to join our team in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

This is an on-site outpatient primary care position caring for patients across the lifespan. The APP will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage both acute and chronic conditions while developing meaningful, ongoing relationships with patients and families.

Daily responsibilities include conducting patient visits, developing evidence-based treatment plans, ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing, prescribing medications, providing preventive care, and coordinating care with physicians, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team.

Our APPs are an important part of the Ironwood team—not simply an extension of physician care. We value clinical judgment, collaboration, communication, and providers who take ownership of both the care they deliver and the experience their patients have within our practice.

The successful candidate will also participate in practice initiatives focused on quality, access, patient experience, and the continued improvement of how we deliver primary care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or other qualified Advanced Practice Provider with appropriate national certification.
• Current Idaho licensure or eligibility to obtain Idaho licensure.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and evidence-based treatment planning skills.
• Ability and desire to provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the lifespan.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Comfortable working collaboratively with physicians, APPs, clinical staff, and administrative team members.
• Ability to thrive in a busy outpatient environment while maintaining quality, professionalism, and a positive patient experience.
• DEA registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
• Previous experience in family medicine, primary care, internal medicine, or a similar outpatient setting is preferred.
