Job Summary:
Neuro Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse needed for a facility located in Walnut Creek, California. This position involves working overnight shifts in a Level II trauma center with responsibilities including managing patients with cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, renal, and sepsis conditions, as well as trauma surgical overflow cases such as vascular injuries, head injuries, cerebral bleeds, and multi-system failures. The ideal candidate will have experience in neuro critical care settings and be comfortable with ventilators, tracheostomies, central lines, titrating drips, and hospital-acquired infection bundles.
Job Details:
- Location: Walnut Creek, California
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: 2 or more years of experience in ICU Neuro, California license valid at the time of submission, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required upon submission
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience, CCRN certification, EPIC electronic medical record system experience
- Float: Float rotation may be required as needed within the same scope of skill
- Start Date: 08/11/2026
- Travel Required: No
- Additional Information: The candidate will need to be interviewed and a manager will extend an offer based on qualifications and fit.
