Medical Lab Scientist/Medical Technologist Lake Regional Hospital Campus – Laboratory Services Osage Beach, MO Allied Health Full Time, Day Shift, 0600–1630 $10,000 sign-on Bonus, New hires only Lake Regional Health System is looking for a dependable, professional Medical Lab Scientist/Medical Technologist to join our Laboratory Services team. Responsibilities Perform complex medical laboratory testing on laboratory specimens, analyze laboratory findings to check the accuracy of the results; Obtain patient specimens, including blood specimen, verify proper collection, perform requested procedure(s), perform all necessary documentation accurately, prepare appropriate reagents; Timely review results, proficiency testing, quality control, instrument checks, calibrations and other necessary information for certification of results; Assist in keeping policy and procedure manuals current; Assist in instructing staff members in new policies and procedures; Document and make corrections if necessary, using appropriate avenues of notification; Provide efficient notification of critical values; notify laboratory manager and/or pathologist of unusual situations; Strictly follow procedure for patient identification and maintenance of specimen integrity; Resolve problems as they occur and document problems and corrective action appropriately; Refer problems to other personnel, laboratory manager, and pathologist as appropriate.
