Licensed Family Day Home (FDH) Daycare Assistant

Summary

Dedicated and nurturing assistant with experience supporting the care, safety, development of infants, toddlers, and young children. Strong communication skills when working with parents and staff, with a passion for promoting children’s emotional , social and cognitive growth. Reliable , patient, and committed to ensure ink a safe, loving, and structured setting for all children.

Duties

Supervise and monitor the safety of infants, toddlers, and young children at all times.
Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, toileting, dressing, and nap time.
Support co workers with activities and age appropriate play.
Help track attendance, meal counts, and daily reports.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
Prepare and serve meals and snacks.
Help children develop social, emotional, and communication skills.
Observe and report children’s behavior and well being.
Follow state childcare licensing rules and daycare policies.
Support outdoor play
Sanitize Daily toys and environments
Respond to emergencies and follow proper safety procedures

Requirements

HS diploma or GED
Strong communication
Ability to supervise multiple children
Dependable
Patience, reliability, nurturing
Flexible with routines and schedule
Dependable transportation
Punctuality
Background check, finger prints
TB test

Nice To Haves

Experience caring for infants and toddlers
CPR & First Aide Certification
