Job Title: BI Architect / Reporting Architect

Location: Remote (Prefer candidates from Eastern region)


Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced BI Architect / Reporting Architect with strong communication skills to lead reporting initiatives and design scalable BI solutions. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineering teams, and BI developers to define reporting requirements and support Power BI reporting.


Key Responsibilities

• Gather and document reporting requirements
• Define KPIs, metrics, filters, and report logic
• Conduct stakeholder meetings and requirement sessions
• Perform gap analysis between current and future reporting needs
• Design reporting data models (Gold / Reporting DB layer)
• Work with upstream data sources (Silver layer)
• Ensure scalable and optimized reporting structures
• Guide Power BI dataset, dashboard, and report design
• Support data flow from Silver to Gold layers
• Collaborate with data engineers on pipelines
• Support testing, validation, and UAT
• Coordinate deployments to TEST and PROD environments
• Document reporting logic and data sources

Required Skills

• Strong experience in BI Architecture and Reporting Design
• Hands-on experience with Power BI (DAX, datasets, dashboards)
• Strong knowledge of data modeling (fact/dimension, star schema)
• Experience with SQL and data analysis
• Experience working with ETL/ELT pipelines
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure / Databricks / Data Lakehouse
• Knowledge of data governance and security
• Experience with large datasets (SQL/Python)
• Domain experience in Retail / Finance / POS is a plus
