The Associate Dentist is responsible for delivering high-quality dental care to patients, diagnosing oral health issues, and performing a wide range of dental procedures. The role focuses on patient treatment, preventive care, and maintaining excellent patient relationships within the practice. Key Responsibilities Examine patients’ teeth, gums, and oral tissues to diagnose conditions Develop and implement treatment plans Perform general dental procedures, including: Fillings, crowns, and bridges, implants Root canal treatments Tooth extractions, surgical extractions Preventive care (cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants) Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes Use dental instruments and technology safely and effectively Follow infection control and safety guidelines Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff Stay updated with advancements in dentistry and continuing education Qualifications Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree Valid dental license in Illinois Strong clinical and diagnostic skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Skills Experience with dental software systems Knowledge of cosmetic and restorative procedures Strong attention to detail Patient-focused approach Work Environment Dental clinics or private practices May include evenings or weekend shifts depending on practice hours #J-18808-Ljbffr Apurva Patel DMD PLLC
