Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring CA RN licensure, EPIC experience, and ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36-48 hours per week
• Requires EPIC EMR experience

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA, HS-BLS, or RQI accepted)
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 3 years of ER experience required
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• No prior license actions or restrictions permitted

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated nursing care to assigned patients following established standards and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct various levels of nursing staff while coordinating care across disciplines
• Collect and analyze patient data to determine diagnoses and develop care plans
• Implement care plans and evaluate patient progress toward outcomes
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe, humane, and healing care
• Provide health education to patients, families, and treatment team members
• Participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care
• Delegate duties appropriately among healthcare team members
• Required vaccinations must be completed as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions available
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel positions
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
