The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology strategy, IT project management, and business process analysis. As a Tech Advisory Consultant Manager, you will work closely with clients to assess their technology needs, develop tailored solutions, and oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives. Below are example service offerings our tech advisory team delivers on behalf of our clients:IT Due DiligenceAs part of a Private Equity Group’s evaluation of a target company, we assess the current state of IT and provide key recommendations for post-investment execution.Key Areas of assessment Include: IT spend, IT organizational structure, business applications, security, IT infrastructure, and capacity to meet future business needs.IT Strategy RoadmapsWe uncover key business objectives, assess the current IT state, and outline a multi-year IT strategy of many IT initiatives to drive resultsWe assess the risk and potential business impact of each project and create a phased approach for the implementation of these critical initiativesIT System SelectionWe guide companies through the process of making their most critical and long-lasting IT decisionsWe uncover key business requirements, research potential providers, assess alternative IT vendors, and build consensus around the winnerIT Project Management Office/Office of the CIOCompanies often need support executing their most critical projects. Our team members may serve to fill key management roles as part of these projectsWe deliver through a structured project management framework to oversee the successful completion, working with client resources, vendors, and consultantsIT Mergers, Acquisitions, and IntegrationsWe set strategy and oversee the integration of all IT-related aspects of a Merger or AcquisitionThis high-intensity process includes combining infrastructure, applications, people, and processKey Responsibilities:Client Engagement: Partner with clients to understand their business objectives, technology challenges, and opportunities. Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop actionable technology strategies that align with their goals.Strategic Planning: Develop and deliver technology roadmaps and implementation plans. Provide guidance on IT governance, risk management, and compliance.Project Oversight: Oversee IT projects from inception to completion. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget by coordinating with implementation partners and stakeholders.Business Process Review: Analyze clients' business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and digital transformation.Technology Solutions: Evaluate and recommend technology solutions that meet clients' needs. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to provide innovative solutions.Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication with clients, team members, and senior management. Prepare and present reports, proposals, and strategic recommendations.Mentorship and Development: Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the development of the consulting practice. Share knowledge and best practices with the team.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferredMust have at least five (5) years of experience in technology consulting including IT Due Diligence, IT project management, or a similar role servicing private equity clientsExperience with Manufacturing & Distribution clients is a plusMust have previous data analytics experienceStrong understanding of technology infrastructure, software development, and digital transformationExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategicallyExceptional communication and presentation skillsStrong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex projectsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamRelevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, COBIT) are a plusHybrid or Remote work arrangement25-50% travel requiredWe expect the candidate to uphold Crowe’s values of Care, Trust, Courage, and Stewardship. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
