Client Portfolio Manager

Portfolio Management ConsultantDuration: 6 months with likely extension to 1 year or beyond. Potential conversion to consulting employee for HumanXP Location: Westside (bw8 and i10). Global client, some travel. Mostly remote work from home with some in office time required. Houston candidates preferred. Focus: IT Finance planning and trackingEssential Functions:Provide for the implementation and continuous improvement of IT project and portfolio management.Collaborate and coordinate with business partners and all IT resource managers.Plan and direct the activities of employees who perform project management and/or business analysis functions.Create and refine project management methodology for a specific functional area in alignment with the overall IT organizational project management methodology and Project Management Organization ("PMO") practices.Manage an IT portfolio for the functional organization and facilitate IT project initiation and IT portfolio analysis and planning.Work with the IT PMO to triage project evaluation requests and drive the adjusted funds from operations impact of the overall project portfolio.Gather information needed to create and balance the portfolio, make recommendations based on analysis, and report progress to business partners at all levels.Lead a team that facilitates the project initiation or projection prioritization and portfolio review meetings for internal triage within the functional group and report outcomes back to the PMO.Develop and maintain measurements of project success and impact. Collect and analyze measurements with a view towards reporting these to management.Plan, manage, and monitor efforts to remedy customer dissatisfaction, on both a proactive and reactive basis.Promote IT capabilities, services, and tools to business partners.
