Senior ISP Network Engineer

Salary: $123,000 - 163,000 per year Requirements:

• We want someone with 5+ years of practical experience supporting large-scale network environments.
• We require a strong background in an ISP, telecom, carrier, or service provider setting.
• We need advanced expertise in routing and switching technologies.
• You should have extensive experience with BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking concepts.
• You should be hands-on with configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routing platforms, ideally ASR and Catalyst 9K.
• You should be hands-on with configuring and troubleshooting Juniper routing platforms, ideally MX Series.
• Experience with Nokia routing platforms is preferred.
• We are looking for someone who has delivered complex network implementations and migrations.
• You must be able to carry out production changes independently with minimal guidance.
• You should be experienced in creating and following technical documentation, including MOPs and implementation plans.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills are essential.
• CCNP or equivalent experience is preferred.
• JNCIP or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Prior exposure to large telecommunications networks is preferred.
• Experience with backbone or core network infrastructure is preferred.
• Experience supporting large-scale customer migrations is preferred.
• Experience operating in strict change-management environments is preferred.

• We design, implement, and support complex network infrastructure changes across a large ISP environment.
• We execute network migrations, augmentations, and provisioning activities for backbone and customer-facing services.
• We perform advanced routing and switching configurations in enterprise-scale network environments.
• We support major upgrades, equipment swaps, topology changes, and service migrations.
• We develop and follow detailed Methods of Procedure for production network changes.
• We coordinate implementation efforts with internal engineering teams, operations teams, and external partners.
• We troubleshoot difficult Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking issues.
• We participate in scheduled maintenance windows, including overnight production changes.
• We validate network performance, capacity, and stability after implementations.
• We provide technical input and recommendations during network design and migration planning discussions.
