This job was posted by : For more information, please see: TRUCK DRIVER/LABORER/EQUIPMENT OPERATOR Position Status: Full-time Application Period: 09/07/2026 until filled Employer: Lemhi County, Road and Bridge Location: Salmon, Idaho Salary: $19.00 Job Description Performs scheduled and assigned maintenance, repair, and service work on County roads, bridges, right-of-way, medians, and structures; Operates a dump truck, water truck, equipment hauler, snowplow, front-end loader, roller, and other related equipment; Operates a variety of hand tools and power tools, including but not limited to sledges, hammers, picks, air compressors, welders, chainsaws, chippers, groundskeeping equipment, air hammers, jacks, and related equipment; Operates two-way radio communication equipment to maintain contact in the field; Erects, maintains, and repairs fences, guard rails, and traffic signs; Removes debris and other safety hazards from roads, culverts, storm drains, and adjacent public areas; Places erosion and sediment control devices; Places work zone traffic control devices and performs flagging duties; Performs routine and preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment and maintains service and maintenance records; Prepares and maintains required work logs, reports, and records; This position is performed in an outdoor environment and may include working in adverse weather conditions and with hazards involving the use of heavy equipment and power tools; This job is on-call to respond as needed. Requirements High School diploma or GED equivalency is required Two years' experience operating heavy equipment related to these operations is preferred Class B CDL, with Air Brake and Tanker endorsement is required Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work Ability to lift 50 pounds or more Must be self-motivated Direct Supervisor: Curt Rosin, Supervisor Hours: 40 hours per week A one-year probationary period will begin at the start of employment. Supervisor may conduct monthly performance reviews. Subject to random drug testing.
