Bus DriverLocation: Service CenterPosition Summary: Provide transportation to school students.Term of Employment: Student School Calendar (6:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m*.) *hours could vary slightly due to staffing and specific route schedules *routes will be assigned based on availability and management discretionSalary: $21.21/hourReport to: Transportation SupervisorQualifications:Must have Commercial Driver's License – Current Pennsylvania School Bus Driver's License with proper CDL License ("S" Endorsement) – Airbrake Classification Necessary and be insurable by Erie's Public SchoolsMust be able to pass physical examinationNo record of repeated traffic violationsKnowledge of regulations and laws pertaining to operation of a school busAble to meet PA State Safety Regulations, mental and physical qualificationsEnjoy working with childrenDuties/Responsibilities:Operate school buses of various sizes and constructionCapable of first echelon maintenance on busesApplicants not currently employed by the district must have a background check as required by state law Act 34 effective 1/86, Child Abuse History Clearance effective 7/96 & Act 114 F.B.I. Fingerprint Check.
