About This Role The Assistant Director of Nursing oversees all areas of the hospital in the absence of leadership, ensuring high-quality patient and family-centered care. This role is ideal for experienced nursing leaders who can manage operations and guide teams effectively. Highlights Location: Forest Hills, NY Schedule: Part-Time, Night shift What You'll Do Oversee and manage operations and patient care activities in all areas of the facility in the absence of leadership. Provide leadership to supervisors and team members by communicating and guiding toward achieving facility objectives. Communicate, build consensus, and guide departments toward achieving hospital objectives. Promote and maintain high-quality patient and family-centered care in a healing environment. Maintain a professional work environment that fosters team member respect, engagement, accountability, and optimal patient outcomes. Promote appreciative inquiry and evidence-based, ethical, and compassionate practice. Provide direction and guidance to patient care unit team members and supervisors in clinical and operational concerns in the absence of leadership. May provide input into performance reviews, hiring, promotions, and corrective actions. Serve as a role model for standards of professional practice (clinical, educational, and leadership). Monitor personnel, supply, and equipment considerations in the absence of leadership. Requirements Education: Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing required, Master's preferred. Experience: 6-10 years of nursing experience required. 5-7 years of leadership/management experience required. Licenses & Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required. Specialized certifications as needed.
