Behavior Therapist – Pediatric ABA | Part-Time

Partners in Play, LLC – Torrance, CA

Partners in Play is growing, and we are looking for enthusiastic, compassionate Behavior Therapists to join our pediatric clinical team!

Partners in Play is a clinic-based ABA program serving children with autism and other developmental needs. We specialize in play-based, developmentally appropriate behavioral intervention designed to help children build meaningful communication, social, play, adaptive, and independence skills.

Our therapists work directly with children in a fun, engaging clinical environment while receiving ongoing training and supervision from experienced clinical professionals. What You'll Do

As a Behavior Therapist, you will provide direct 1:1 behavioral intervention to children, primarily between the ages of 2–12 years, under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Responsibilities include:

Implement individualized behavior intervention and skill-acquisition programs according to each client's treatment plan

Provide engaging, play-based ABA therapy in a clinic setting

Teach communication, social, play, adaptive, self-help, and other developmentally appropriate skills

Implement behavior-reduction and positive behavior-support strategies as directed by the supervising clinician

Collect accurate data and complete required clinical documentation

Monitor client response to intervention and communicate progress and concerns to the supervising clinician

Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team collaboration

Collaborate with supervisors and other treatment team members to support coordinated, well-rounded care

Maintain professional, ethical, and compassionate interactions with clients, families, and team members

Assist with maintaining a safe, organized, and engaging therapeutic environment

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for individuals who genuinely enjoy working with children and can bring energy, patience, professionalism, and creativity to therapy sessions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in ABA, behavioral health, child development, education, psychology, special education, or a related field

Previous experience working with children, particularly children with autism or developmental differences

Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred; candidates willing to obtain RBT certification will also be considered

Ability to build positive rapport with children and families

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to follow clinical protocols and accept feedback and supervision

Dependable, professional, and collaborative

Comfortable participating in active, play-based sessions with children

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and safely participate in activities with young children
