Food Service Worker

We have an opening for a full time FOOD SERVICE WORKER position.

Location: Ernst & Young - 1 Manhattan West, 6th Floor, New York, NY 10001. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full time; Days may vary, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Two years of food service experience is required.

Fixed Pay Rate: $22.50 per hour.

Additional Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining service area cleanliness.
• Stock, replenish, and organize food, beverage, and supply inventories for four coffee bars.
• Follow all food safety guidelines and understand proper temperature thresholds.
• Maintain back-of-house (BOH) storage areas, ensuring products are properly stocked, rotated, and stored.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management.
• Assist with stocking, merchandising, and maintaining Micro Markets to ensure product availability and presentation standards.
• Support catering operations by preparing, delivering, setting up, and replenishing food and beverage service as needed.
• Assist with pantry operations, ensuring snack, beverage, and supply stations remain clean, organized, and fully stocked.

Job Summary: Prepares, presents and serves food as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
