Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients thoroughly, understanding their trauma background and developing tailored treatment approaches. \n
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on actionable goals related to trauma recovery and personal resilience. \n
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide patients through their healing processes. \n
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, promoting openness, healing, and the development of coping strategies among participants. \n
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide well-rounded care and support for clients. \n
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed, ensuring that clients in distress receive immediate and effective support. \n
- Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, therapeutic processes, and available resources to empower them in their recovery journey. \n
- Maintain detailed and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accuracy and patient privacy. \n
- Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a culture of professional development focused on trauma-informed care. \n
- Stay updated with the latest research and practices in the field of trauma therapy to continuously enhance service delivery. \n
You will be working primarily with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our clients often come from diverse backgrounds and may require different approaches to effectively address their unique challenges. Your expertise in trauma-informed therapy will be essential in creating personalized strategies that foster healing and resilience.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of Texas. \n
- A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling role is preferred. \n
- Deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment approaches. \n
- Demonstrable experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions, with a focus on patient empowerment. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor. \n
- The ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations. \n
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications for case management. \n
- A commitment to collaborative practice within a multidisciplinary team environment. \n
In addition to the required qualifications, experience working within a telehealth framework, particularly in trauma-focused settings, will be considered an asset. Knowledge of additional therapeutic methods and an openness to ongoing training in specific trauma therapies will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
Compensation and Benefits\nThe annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience.
