Build your engineering career. Work with advanced technology. Make a difference.

Are you a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working with

sophisticated machinery and travelling to customer sites?

At Motek Medical B.V., we develop advanced robotic, motion analysis and virtual reality

systems that help clinicians, researchers and rehabilitation professionals better

understand, assess and improve human movement.

For more than 25 years, our technologies have supported leading hospitals, universities,

discovery and advancements in rehabilitation.

We are looking for an International Field Service Engineer – Mechanical / Mechatronics to

support our customers across North America.

This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys practical problem-solving,

independent fieldwork, international collaboration and working with advanced mechanical

and electromechanical systems.

You do not need previous medical-device experience to apply. If you have a strong

engineering foundation and experience with complex machinery, automation, robotics,

mechatronics or industrial equipment, we encourage you to apply.

What will you do?

As part of Motek Medical's international service organization, you will help ensure that our

systems are installed correctly, operate reliably and deliver the expected performance at

customer sites.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electromechanical and system-level issues.

• Identify root causes of technical problems and implement corrective actions.

• Support the reliability, safety and long-term performance of installed systems.

Technical Support and Customer Service

• Provide first-line technical support to customers across the North American

territory.

• Collaborate with internal specialists and global service colleagues to resolve

complex technical issues.

• Support authorized service partners where applicable.

• Provide customer guidance and technical training during installations and service

visits.

• Maintain a professional, solution-oriented approach to customer service.

Documentation and Continuous Improvement

• Prepare installation reports, maintenance records, service reports and technical

documentation.

• Maintain accurate service histories for installed systems.

• Share technical feedback with engineering and product management teams.

• Contribute to improvements in service procedures, troubleshooting methods and

technical documentation.

What are we looking for?

We value practical engineering skills, sound troubleshooting ability and a willingness to

learn.

Essential requirements

• A degree, technical qualification or equivalent practical experience in Mechanical

Engineering, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering or a related technical discipline.

• Typically three or more years of relevant experience in field service, equipment

installation, maintenance, mechanical engineering or technical troubleshooting.

• Experience with complex mechanical or electromechanical systems in industries

such as industrial machinery, robotics, automation, manufacturing, aerospace,

laboratory equipment or medical technology.

• Good understanding of mechanical assemblies and engineering principles, with

working knowledge of electrical components and computer-based systems.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to quality and safety.

• Ability to work independently at customer sites and collaboratively with an

international team.

• Excellent written and spoken English.

• A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively.

• US citizenship or existing valid US work authorisation that permits employment in

this position.

Experience that would be an advantage

• Installation, maintenance or repair of complex machinery and integrated technical

systems.

• Familiarity with motors, sensors, actuators, robotics, control systems or motion

analysis equipment.

• Experience working with hospitals, universities, research laboratories or other

technical institutions.

• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, commissioning, equipment safety and

service documentation.

Not every box checked? If you have relevant hands-on engineering experience, a strong

mechanical or mechatronics foundation and a willingness to learn new technologies, we

would still like to hear from you.

commissioning, maintenance, repairs and technical support.

Candidates should be comfortable with frequent travel and overnight stays as required by

customer projects. Travel arrangements and expectations will be discussed during the

recruitment process.

What do we offer?

• Advanced technology: Work with sophisticated rehabilitation and human movement

research systems used by leading institutions worldwide.
