Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN to provide specialized care for obstetric patients in a dynamic hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor, delivery, and postpartum care, supporting both mother and newborn through all stages of labor.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive care to laboring patients, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the delivery process.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and contractions, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Assist with procedures including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to implement patient care plans and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation using CPN and Meditach systems.
• Educate patients and their families on labor, delivery, and postpartum protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least 2 years of labor and delivery experience.
• Possess current certifications: AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM, ACLS, BLS, and NRP.
• Demonstrate advanced skills in caring for laboring patients and newborns immediately postpartum.
• Experience with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, epidurals, and operative procedures.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and call shifts.
• Maintain adherence to hospital policies and unit-specific guidelines.
