Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED/ER)

Perform triage assessments and prioritize patient care according to acuity and emergency severity.

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies.

Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.

Monitor cardiac rhythms, oxygenation status, neurological function, and patient response to treatment.

Assist providers during emergency procedures, trauma resuscitations, code situations, and rapid response events.

Stabilize critically ill and injured patients prior to admission, transfer, or discharge.

Coordinate care with physicians, EMS personnel, respiratory therapists, laboratory staff, and specialty providers.

Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record.

Ensure compliance with state regulations, infection prevention standards, patient safety initiatives, and emergency department policies.

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
