This role partners closely with Medical Assistants, Radiologic Technologists, leadership, and physicians to deliver efficient, high-quality care that aligns with MEC's standards for service, safety, and operational excellence.Our providers are expected to balance clinical expertise with strong communication, teamwork, and a hospitality-minded approach to patient care.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses and injuriesDevelop and implement appropriate treatment plans utilizing evidence-based medicineOrder, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing including laboratory and radiology resultsPerform procedures including:Laceration repairIncision and drainageForeign body removalSplintingNail proceduresInjectionsDOT physicalsOccupational medicine servicesPrescribe medications and therapies within scope of practiceEnsure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical recordPatient ExperienceDeliver compassionate, efficient care while creating a welcoming and reassuring environmentCommunicate clearly regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, follow-up care, and patient educationSupport MEC's commitment to service excellence by maintaining professionalism and empathy during every patient interactionAddress patient concerns proactively and contribute to positive patient outcomes and satisfactionTeam Leadership & CollaborationServe as a clinical resource for Medical Assistants, Radiologic Technologists, and clinic team membersPromote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvementSupport onboarding and development of new clinical staffCollaborate effectively with collaborating physicians and operational leadersOperational ExcellenceSupport clinic goals related to patient flow, efficiency, and quality metricsParticipate in process improvement initiatives and clinical quality programsAssist with maintaining regulatory compliance, infection control, and patient safety standardsAdapt to varying patient volumes, staffing needs, and clinic locations as business needs requireWhat Success Looks Like A successful Nurse Practitioner at MEC:Delivers safe, evidence-based care consistently.Creates exceptional patient experiences.Maintains high-quality documentation and compliance standards.Partners effectively with clinic teams to support operational performance.Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, and reliability and embodies MEC's PACT ValuesWhat We're Looking For Required:Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.Active Family Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois and/or Indiana.Ability to treat patients across the lifespan.Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Preferred:Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, or Occupational Medicine experience.Experience performing common urgent care procedures.DOT Certification (or willingness to obtain).Scheduling Requirements:Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidaysFlexibility to support multiple clinic locationsCompensation The expected salary range for this position is $125,000-130,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.Benefits Midwest Express Clinic is proud to offer a competitive selection of employer-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and short-term disability plans to meet the diverse needs of our employees and their families.
