Litigation Associate

Asbestos / Toxic Tort Litigation Associate | Washington, DC or Chicago 2–10 Years of Experience I’m working with a leading global law firm seeking a mid-level Litigation Associate to join its sophisticated asbestos, toxic tort, and complex defense litigation practice in either Washington, DC or Chicago . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator looking to handle complex, high-exposure matters for major domestic and international clients while taking on meaningful responsibility for cases from inception through resolution. The Role: Handle complex asbestos, toxic tort, product liability, mass tort, and related defense litigation Manage matters through discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, trial preparation, and resolution Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, fact witnesses, and experts Draft pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, briefs, and other substantive filings Conduct complex legal research and develop case strategy Work directly with partners and clients on case management, risk assessment, and litigation strategy Participate in hearings, mediations, and trials Manage multiple sophisticated matters and deadlines simultaneously Qualifications: Approximately 2–10 years of litigation experience Prior asbestos, toxic tort, product liability, mass tort, insurance defense, or complex litigation experience strongly preferred Meaningful deposition, discovery, and motion practice experience Trial or substantive courtroom experience is a plus Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills Admission in the applicable jurisdiction, or ability to become admitted, as required Billable Requirement: 1,900 hours Locations: Washington, DC or Chicago, IL Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience The firm offers the opportunity to work within a highly regarded global litigation platform handling sophisticated matters for major insurers and corporate clients, with significant hands-on responsibility and opportunities for continued professional development. #J-18808-Ljbffr
