End Client: New York City Department of Social Services Job Title: .NET Developer Duration: 36-60 Months Start Date: ASAP Location: Brooklyn NY 11238 (Hybrid) Position Type: Contract Interview Type: Webcam Ceipal ID: NYC_NET108_IK Requirement ID: BID-DSS-ITS-C-20260729-1-108 Tasks & Duties: Develop system design specifications Develop and prepare documents for the general design of solutions that meet system and security requirements, including the selection of alternative approaches. Develop structured diagrams for the specifications of databases, communication systems, computer or storage area networks, security, or network programs. Develop, compile, maintain and document configurations of the following: databases, servers, computers, security and network monitor systems, packaged programs, macros, utilities, and communication systems. Design front end web architecture, ensuring the responsiveness of applications. Analyze the needs of the organization and produce an effective database system design according to their needs and specifications. Develop system documentation Develop operational and installation procedures for communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage, and software. Develop guidelines and upgrade techniques of new operational procedures for the support of databases, hardware systems, operating systems software, network systems software, security, and client server systems. Develop detailed systems operations designs. Create technical documentation for internal and external users that accurately describes the configuration of technology utilized to implement a development solution. Perform System Design/Development Work with staff (e.g., managers, senior programmers, support staff, product manager) to plan program implementation, enhancements and changes Create, test and maintain programs Design reports, audit trails/logs, security mechanisms Provide assistance to technical support staff when they are unable to resolve a program, database, or IT issue by themselves Occasionally contact customers as may be needed to clarify the intent of a new feature or resolve a problem Provide general programming assistance to other programmers/projects as may be needed Creating responsive, user-friendly interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Angular, React. Building robust server-side logic, API services, and application architecture using C# and ASP.NET Core. Perform Testing/Evaluation Tests programs and systems and integrates system modules. Develops, implements, and monitors information technology quality assurance standards. Document testing and QA methods Required Skills A minimum of 4 years of experience with the following skill sets: Writing application software, data analysis, data access Data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation Technical and user documentation, software conversions. Experience in creating Technical Specification Documents, State Diagrams and conducting technical walkthrough with QA team. Exposure to environments include but are not limited to mainframe, mid-range, personal computers, laptops Lead in the design of program specifications and the implementation of software solutions. Extensive experience working under Agile methodologies environment, and experience with enterprise-level software architecture Designing 3 tiered applications .Net Framework including: VB.Net, ASP.NET, Experience with ADO.NET, VB6, Java Script, XML, WEB Service, VBScript, C#, Object oriented concepts and technologies Oracle database Backend processing and extensive experience in relational database development, for creating complex database queries, Constraints, Indexes, Views, Packages, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Cursors and Functions using TOAD, PL/SQL Developer Developing Web Applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON. Expert knowledge using LINQ, and Entity Framework Knowledge of SOA trends, SOA standards including web services, XML, XSLT, SOAP, WSDLs, and WCF Proficient at developing Single Page Application (SPA) with AngularJS controllers, directives, factories, services, routing, DOM manipulation using JavaScript, JQuery, AngularJS, and REST API Developing SSIS packages for extracting, cleaning, transforming, and loading data from different sources like XML, Excel, Text files and databases (Oracle, SQL server) Professional experience as Full Stack (Database/.Net) developer in all the phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including User Interaction, Design, Development, Implementation, Testing, Deployment, Customer Support, Maintenance and Enhancements of applications Designed and developed a single page application using Angular 18, utilizing reusable components, modules, directives, with NgRx for state management, RxJS Observables for asynchronous data handling, and both Reactive and Template-driven forms for user input management Designed and developed cloud-based solution on AWS, including REST API using AWS API Gateway, AWS RDS, and AWS Cognito; built serverless components with .Net Core/C# for Glacier migration; managed s3 Buckets and bucket policies for cloud storage and backup; created CI/CD pipeline using CodePipeline, CodeCommit, CodeBuild to deploy Lambda application with CloudFormation templates Designed and developed Microservices architecture using .Net Core, C# and Rest APIs, building Independent, loosely coupled, and scalable services across different functional areas of the application Designed and generated reports using SQL Server Reporting services (SSRS), including cross-tab, conditional, drill-down, drill-through, and parameterized reports Implemented NHibernate ORM for data access and persistence, mapping domain objects to relational database tables, managing sessions, transactions, and executing HQL and Criteria queries for efficient database operations Designed and developed interactive UI components using Telerik UI and Kendo Grid, implementing feature such as sorting, filtering, paging, inline editing and data binding to backend API for efficient data display and manipulation Benefits & Perks : Comprehensive Health Insurance Coverage for employees and eligible dependents.
